Have you taken time lately to consider how remarkable you are? The mere fact that you are human carries with it the promise of greatness.
Although Adam and Eve’s fall into sin severely marred the human race, people are still remarkable. We are created in the image of God and given two unique roles no other creatures share. The prophet, Elijah, faced Ahab, Israel’s wicked king, and pronounced God’s judgment, “No dew nor rain in the next few years.” Israel and her king had forsaken God in wickedness and idolatry and God was withdrawing His protective hand.

What do you think is the worst sin? “Lack of love,” “pride,” “blasphemy,” “murder,” “rape” are some of the responses I’ve received to my question. The destructive power of unbelief recently challenged me in my Bible reading. There are differing degrees of unbelief with varying consequences, but anyway you slice it, unbelief is destructive and the root of many other sins.
We know the Bible teaches that unbelief keeps a person out of heaven. Eternal life is given to: “those who believe in His name” (John 1:12, 3:16).
Unbelief kept the children of Israel out of the Promised Land. Their unbelief led to all out rebellion against God and they died in the desert because they refused to trust God and His promise. (Read More)
After recently writing and speaking about REAP-ing your thoughts, I’ve had the opportunity to practice what I preach. The Lord seems to get a chuckle over making sure I live what I teach.
This is what I discovered. It is easy to get stuck on the E- expressing part of REAP. Venting your negative emotions, and not moving on to A- asking the Holy Spirit the truth, leaves you caught in an emotional quagmire. Change and hope don’t appear until you push through the A and P part of REAP. (Read More)
